I have a small sketchbook that I carry with me everywhere I go. So if a sudden wave of inspiration hits me I can quickly jot the idea down instead of forgetting it moments later! It’s full of good ideas and not so good ones; messy doodles and scrawled notes; to-do lists and references. When I sit down to design my jewellery (very soon!) I can flick through this sketchbook and hit the ground running.
So here are a few pages of that sketchbook to give you a very rough idea of the kind of jewellery I’m planning on making. Apologies for how messy and scribbly it is, but it’s not meant to be anything fancy!
Over the next few weeks I am going to be developing my designs and getting some test pieces woven. I have so many ideas, I can’t wait to have a few of them woven and see how they turn out!
In the next post I’m going to be having a look at some jewellery and jewellery designers that I find inspiring. Some of it is very different to the jewellery I’m going to be making!
